Comparing Mathematical Models to Musical Scores

Reading musical notes is the same as reading physics equations. Musicians can hear a song come to life as they read it. Musical scores to musicians are like mathematical models to physicists.

Mathematical models are used to describe everything in our universe. There are equations that describe the smallest events within an atom. There are equations that can describe very large events such as the motion of planets and the gravitational pull of black holes.

Think of these events as songs. The notes that compose the songs are the equations. There is one song that remains a mystery. That song is the origin of everything. How did the universe begin? What is everything made of?

String Theory just may be the equation/score to describe that event/song.
